The Lost Path
In the quiet of the evening’s glow,
I wander where the shadows go,
With a heart that’s filled with restless dreams,
But unsure what the future means.
I seek a path, but none appears,
Just echoes of forgotten fears,
A road that twists, a journey blind,
In circles where my thoughts unwind.
I once had goals, a clear design,
A map of dreams, a grand design,
Yet now I find that map erased,
And every turn feels out of place.
The words I wrote, they brought me cheer,
But now the joy seems distant, unclear,
Do I chase the views, the fleeting fame,
Or seek the spark that once was flame?
What’s left to lose, what’s left to gain?
The future’s blank, but not unkind,
I’m young, and though the path may twist,
I’ll seek the joy that still exists.
So I’ll walk the road, though it’s unclear,
With hope to guide me, and not fear,
For in the quest to find my way,
I’ll find the light of a new day..
